The Twisted Tales of Demon Killer Sharifu

WATCH THE NEXT TWIST

The Twisted Tales of Demon Killer Sharifu is at its core about healing and love and finding joy in life… but in a story where demons die a lot.

I grew up on anime like Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures, Akira, Kenshin, Ranma 1/2, Guyver… the list goes on and on… and when you’re young, there’s nothing like a straight forward demon killing in anime fashion like in so many anime - literally, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba from Japan and Kpop demon hunters are some of the hottest anime out today (2026)

As one gets older, as one encounter real life afflictions and real struggles, “demons” can take on new meaning - anxiety, depression - these can feel like demons.

In real life, sometimes it’s not really about killing a demon but making peace with it.

Many struggle silently or give up and accept that the aspect of themselves in question will just never change. “When demons become friends.”

Many give in and have tragic ends.

On march 1st, 2024, music became very important in my life as I seriously began learning guitar and resolved not to quit again

Playing guitar is a constant joy in my life and if there were real demons out there, they would hate the joy you can create with your hands through playing an instrument.

THE CREATION PROCESS

The story, the characters, the music - these are all mine and original. I have been writing this story and designing characters and plot for years.

I am being totally transparent that I have used the tools of the day to enhance aspects of the audio and visuals, including but not exclusive to ai.

I’m also pretty good with special effects so I have used this skill to create things like Sharifu’s guitar blasts and bunny Pedro’s ability to inhale enemies.

The idea that would make me want to finish my story was from about a year ago, with a song I wrote called Demon Killer / Sharifu's song..

I was beginning to realize that to truly overcome things, I need to transform.. that old self has to die.

And so the phrase, “to kill your demons, you have to die” was born.

I couldn’t even play guitar and sing at the same time back when I wrote this.. shout out to my friend

Daniel Hiatt who covered Sharifu’s Song and showed me how it COULD sound with more skills and in different genre’s. He has Johnny Cash vibes with metal flair!

THANK YOU

If you’re here for the journey, as twisted it may be, as dark as the road may become.. thank you.

Sharifu is independent but he needs allies, and does horribly alone.

This project is needs backing.

If you would like to support it, grab me a coffee:

With every trap, every snare…
