The Prophethood of Every Believer

Some time in early Christendom, Catholicism was rampant, but some believers realized that the priests lied about many things - perhaps the most heinous was the lie that you could buy land in paradise from the priests - straight hustlers, I tell ya. In Catholicism, priesthood is a very high rank spiritually and so a man named Martin Luther wrote his criticisms about the church and nailed it to the door of the church - title was basically "95 ways you guys lie like fuck." “..the biggest lie against the soul is that Allah no longer speaks to us.”

From that moment, came the idea of the priesthood of every believer - that every believer, any human, can form a personal connection with God with nobody inbetween.

This idea is basically inherent in Islam, in fact, you can't get an intercessor to plead for your forgiveness on the day of judgement even if you wanted one.

Nobody. Can. Save. You.

But one thing I believe muslims have wrong is the idea of the final person God spoke to - I believe that Muhammad (pbuh) is the last messenger, please don't misunderstand me - but I believe the idea that God has stopped speaking to us is incorrect. In fact, I would say that the biggest lie against the soul is that Allah no longer speaks to us.

Everyone should believe that God speaks to them.

Everyone should form a personal connection to Him.

Everyone should believe that they're worthy of revelation.

Because you are.
