I love watching a good production, from musicals to dance performances - my favorite so far being Wicked. Close second would be Hamilton, when I’m able to forget about George Washington’s actual slave cellar in real life..

When you watch these shows live, you’re in a massive crowd, sometimes with a bleeding nose, often squinting to make out the faces of the performers.

Echoes of The Underworld seemed different right off the bat - small groups, intensely close, boundary crossing.. all the things you want when you’re craving something wildly artistic, but closer.

I showed up to the Cambell House Museum - lets be honest, this shit looks haunted already..

Greeted by the bubbly Maggy of Little Pear Dance Group, dressed in black, very professional - we were told to just wait a few moments before entering the house.. By we, I mean myself and about 8 other Toronto social media personalities dressed well and looking pretty good.

We enter into a seemingly safe space - we’re invited to check out the rooms, empty but beautifully arranged… Then the hostess dressed all in white shows up and lets us know that we are in for something good - this intro was the definition of ‘under promise, over deliver.’
