What was it like making this?

The CT boat castle project was a ton of fun. As an artist there isn't much more gratifying than a client telling you to do things your own way and letting you go at it purely creatively. I really got to visualize what I believed the project was about and make that shine.

It seems scattered, is it a good representation of Culture Toronto?

It seems scattered but you can easily follow along the path. I wanted to create an image that Culture Toronto is organic and always adding something new to the exciting events it puts in. I think of it as a treasure being constantly built on.

What is your favourite part as the artist?

Seeing the final image together is always my favourite result. Seeing how it all comes together to become one cohesive image is awesome.

If you had full creative control what would you have done differently?

I was given quite a bit of creative control here so I don't think I would have changed much. I would have kept the same organic treasure idea.
